NEET UG 2025 Passing Marks for MBBS
NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET-UG) 2025 on May 4 in pen-and-paper mode to select candidates for undergraduate medical programs in the 2025-26 academic session. The agency has confirmed that NEET UG 2025 scores will serve as the basis for admissions into Bachelor of Dental Studies (BDS) and Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (BVSc & AH) courses.
As part of a revised exam pattern, NTA has removed the optional questions from Section B. The NEET UG 2025 question paper will now include 180 multiple-choice questions. The physics and chemistry sections will each contain 45 questions, while the biology section will comprise 90 questions. Each section will carry 180 marks, maintaining the total exam score at 720 marks, consistent with previous years.
The marking scheme remains unchanged. Candidates will earn four marks for each correct answer and lose one mark for each incorrect response. No marks will be awarded or deducted for unanswered questions.
