
NEET UG 2025: Expected Cutoff for MBBS Admission in Government medical Colleges
New Delhi: NEET UG 2025 aspirants should evaluate their scores based on the expected cutoffs for MBBS admission in government medical colleges across India. Currently, about 55,616 MBBS seats are available across 776 medical colleges through NEET.

AIIMS Delhi, ranked first in NIRF 2024, remains the top government medical college in India. For MBBS admission, general category candidates are expected to require a NEET score between 710 and 700.
Expected NEET Cutoffs for Government Medical Colleges in Delhi, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh
- Haryana: BPS Government Medical College, Sonipat is likely to set the general category cutoff at 622 marks, which corresponds to a NEET rank of around 10,919.
- Delhi: The North Delhi Municipal Corporation Medical College may require a score of 700+. Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar Medical College is expected to have a cutoff of around 670.
- Uttar Pradesh: Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow, is projected to set the cutoff at 647 marks, with an approximate NEET rank of 4,370.
States with Lowest Expected NEET Cutoffs in 2025
Government medical colleges in Goa, Arunachal Pradesh and Karnataka may have the lowest cutoffs due to fewer institutions and less competition. For example ESIC Medical College, Gulbarga (Karnataka) could have a cutoff of 619 mark, with a general category rank of 12,149.
