NEW DELHI: NEET UG 2025 is expected to witness heightened competition as the number of candidates is projected to exceed 23 lakh, setting a new record in the exam’s history. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released data from the NEET UG 2024 entrance exam, revealing that 23,33,297 candidates appeared for the test. Among them, 9,98,205 were male, 13,34,940 were female, and 17 belonged to the third gender

How many students registered for NEET 2025: During the re-NEET 2024 exam, 813 out of 1,563 registered candidates appeared. NEET 2024 also saw the highest-ever number of registrations. The exam took place on May 5, 2024, and results were announced on June 4. The NTA conducted a re-exam on June 23 for 1,563 candidates, and the results were declared on June 30, 2024. NEET 2025 Registrations at an All-Time High

The NEET exam continues to attract a growing number of aspirants nationwide, with lakhs of students competing annually for admission to top medical colleges. NEET 2024 witnessed an unprecedented rise in registrations compared to previous years. A record-breaking 23,06,079 students registered, marking the highest in the exam’s history. In contrast, 20.87 lakh candidates registered for NEET in the previous year. Among the states, Maharashtra recorded the highest number of NEET registrations, followed by Uttar Pradesh.
