MCC adds new centres for PwBD candidates in NEET UG 2025 counselling

New Delhi: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has added new Designated Disability Centres for candidates with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) participating in NEET UG Counselling 2025. This step aims to improve accessibility and convenience for students applying under the PwBD quota for the academic year 2025-26.

The following medical institutions have been included as official certification centres, in addition to the 16 centres already notified by MCC:

Important Instructions for PwBD Candidates

  • Carry a valid UDID card for the disability assessment.
  • Certification must be issued as per the NMC’s Interim Guidelines.
  • Complete the assessment process well before the deadline to avoid last-minute difficulties.

This expansion is expected to make the certification process smoother by increasing the number of recognized institutions across multiple states.

Additional Details

As per the notification, these centres have been added in line with the National Medical Commission (NMC) Interim Guidelines on disability assessment for MBBS admissions under the PwBD category.

The PwD portal for Round 2 of UG Counselling 2025 is now open and will remain active until 12:00 p.m. on September 9, 2025. Eligible candidates must visit any of the designated centres with their UDID card to undergo assessment and obtain the required Disability Certificate.
