NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released comprehensive exam day guidelines for NEET UG 2025, the primary entrance examination for medical aspirants across India. The exam will take place on May 4, 2025 (Sunday), and candidates must adhere strictly to the issued instructions to ensure a seamless and fair examination process.

Essential Items to Bring
Candidates must bring the following items to the examination centre:

NEET 2025 admit card with a passport-size photograph affixed

One additional passport-size photograph (for the attendance sheet)

One postcard-size photograph (for the proforma attached to the admit card)

Valid photo identification (Aadhaar card, Voter ID, Passport, etc.)

Transparent water bottle without labels or stickers
-
Slippers or sandals (shoes are not allowed)

A 50 ml bottle of hand sanitizer
Bringing these items will ensure hassle-free entry and verification.
Prohibited Items
To maintain examination integrity, the NTA has strictly prohibited the following:

Books, notes, printed or written material

Calculators, geometry boxes, rulers, pen drives, log tables, etc.

Electronic gadgets including mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, smartwatches, and cameras

Personal items such as wallets, goggles, handbags, belts, caps, or jewellery

Food items and water bottles (except transparent bottles)

Any device or object that can conceal unauthorized communication tools
Candidates must not bring any personal belongings, as the centre will not provide storage facilities.
Dress Code Guidelines
The NTA has prescribed a specific dress code to ensure transparency:

Clothing: Wear light-coloured clothes with half sleeves. Avoid outfits with large pockets, badges, or buttons.

Footwear: Only slippers or sandals are allowed; shoes are strictly prohibited.

Religious attire: Candidates wearing a customary dress for religious reasons must declare it during the application process and report to the exam centre one hour earlier than the scheduled reporting time.
Important Instructions for Exam Day

Arrive at the centre well before 01:30 PM, the last entry time.

Undergo fingerprint verification for identity confirmation.

Use only the blue or black ballpoint pen provided at the exam centre.

Admit cards will not be sent via post. Download them from neet.nta.nic.in.

No duplicate admit cards will be issued at the exam centre.
