The National Testing Agency (NTA) has once again extended the deadline for NEET UG 2026 candidates to submit or update their bank account details for the examination fee refund. As per the latest public notice issued on July 14, 2026, candidates can now update their bank account information until July 31, 2026 (11:50 PM) to receive the refund directly in their bank accounts.

The refund process is related to the NEET UG 2026 examination, which was originally conducted on May 3, 2026. Candidates who have not yet provided their correct banking details are advised to complete the process before the revised deadline to avoid any delay in receiving their refund. 

Over 11.46 Lakh Candidates Have Submitted Bank Details

According to NTA, 11,46,401 candidates have already submitted their bank account details and the refund process has begun. The examination fee is being credited directly to the bank accounts provided by the candidates.

However, many candidates are still yet to submit or correct their banking information. To ensure that every eligible candidate receives the refund, NTA has decided to extend the deadline once again.

Why Has NTA Extended the Deadline?

NTA stated that the extension has been provided after observing that several candidates either:

• Entered incorrect bank account numbers.
• Submitted wrong IFSC codes.
• Failed to update their bank details within the previous deadlines.
• Faced issues during the verification process.

The extended window gives candidates another opportunity to submit accurate bank account information and complete the refund process successfully.

How to Update NEET UG 2026 Bank Account Details

Candidates who have not yet submitted or updated their bank details can follow these steps:

1. Visit the official NEET UG 2026 website.
2. Log in using your Application Number and Password.
3. Click on the "Bank Account Details Confirmation/Updation" link. 
4. Complete the OTP verification sent to your registered mobile number.
5. Enter or verify your bank account number and IFSC code carefully.
6. Upload a cancelled cheque (if required).
7. Review all the details and submit the form before the deadline.

Once submitted, the bank details will be considered final for processing the refund.
