Frequently Asked Questions Regarding NEET UG 2026 Re-Examination
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released important FAQs regarding the NEET (UG) 2026 Re-Examination to address students’ concerns related to examination centres, fee refunds, exam timing and other important procedures.
The NEET (UG) 2026 Re-Examination is scheduled to be conducted on 21 June 2026 (Sunday) from 02:00 PM to 05:15 PM, including additional time allotted for examination-related formalities.
Major Highlights
1. Is the examination fee going to be refunded?
NTA informed that candidates can now update their present address and city choices. The module for submitting bank account details for fee refund will be available by 21 May 2026.
2. Can I change the medium of examination?
No. The examination medium selected during the original application form submission is final and cannot be changed.
3. A message appears saying city selection is unavailable based on updated address and exam medium. What should I do?
NTA clarified that the chosen exam medium is fixed and linked with specific states/locations. Candidates should refer to the NEET (UG) 2026 Information Bulletin for available medium-wise locations.
4. Will the same examination centre allotted earlier be allotted again?
Not necessarily. Examination centres will be allotted again based on the city selected by candidates for the re-examination.
5. What is the date and timing of the NEET (UG) 2026 Re-examination?
The NEET (UG) 2026 Re-examination will be conducted on 21 June 2026 (Sunday) from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM, including formalities time.
6. Why are candidates being given 15 minutes extra time?
The additional 15 minutes are being provided for documentation, verification and other examination-related formalities.
7. I faced discomfort/issues during the examination held on 03 May 2026 due to centre-related problems. What should I do?
Candidates should send their complaints and supporting documents to the official NTA Helpdesk email.
8. The examination centre allotted earlier was far from my residence. What can be done?
NTA stated that centres are allotted randomly based on the selected city choices provided by candidates.
9. The NEET (UG) 2026 Re-examination date is clashing with another examination. Can the date be changed?
No. NTA clarified that the examination date has already been finalized and cannot be changed.
10. Do I need to pay any additional fee for the re-examination?
No additional fee will be charged from candidates for appearing in the NEET (UG) 2026 Re-examination.
