MARB applicants for new medical colleges and seat increase proposals can access the NMC Online Appeal Portal using their existing login credentials for AY 2026–27.

The National Medical Commission (NMC) has issued a fresh public notice clarifying the login credentials to be used by medical colleges and institutions while accessing the newly launched Online Appeal Portal. The clarification is specifically meant for institutions that have applied to establish a new medical college for the Academic Year (AY) 2026-27 and wish to challenge a decision of the Medical Assessment and Rating Board (MARB).

According to the notification dated July 9, 2026, eligible institutions must log in to the Online Appeal Portal using the same Email ID and Password that were used while submitting their application to MARB for establishing a new medical college. The commission has advised applicants to carefully follow the portal's user manual and instructions before submitting any appeal.

Why Has NMC Issued This Clarification?

The latest notice follows NMC's earlier announcement regarding the launch of the Online Appeal Portal, which became operational from July 1, 2026. The portal was introduced to digitize and streamline the appeal process against decisions taken by NMC's autonomous boards, including:

Study MBBS Abroad 2025-26, Fees 2 lakh Per Year.

  • Medical Assessment and Rating Board (MARB)
  • Undergraduate Medical Education Board (UGMEB)
  • Postgraduate Medical Education Board (PGMEB)

The new clarification aims to ensure that institutions applying for the establishment of new medical colleges use the correct login credentials while filing appeals, preventing delays caused by incorrect authentication.

What This Means for Medical Colleges

By directing applicants to use their existing MARB login credentials, NMC aims to make the online appeal process smoother, faster and more transparent while reducing technical issues during submission.
