The National Medical Commission (NMC) has issued an important notice to all existing NMC-approved medical colleges and institutions regarding the submission of the Annual Disclosure Report for the renewal of MBBS seats for the academic year 2026-27.

According to the notice issued by the Undergraduate Medical Education Board (UGMEB), all medical colleges holding a valid Letter of Permission (LoP) for conducting MBBS courses must submit their Annual Disclosure Report through the official NMC portal. This submission is mandatory under Regulation 4 of the Maintenance of Standards of Medical Education Regulations (MSMER) 2023 for processing the annual renewal of MBBS seats.

The commission has informed colleges that institutions which have not registered their AEBAS with NMC will not be able to access the portal. User credentials have already been shared with the designated Nodal Officers, and a detailed user manual is available on the portal for guidance.

NMC also emphasized that all data submitted on the portal must be accurate and consistent across all NMC Boards. Once the application is submitted, colleges will not be allowed to edit the information. The commission further stated that submitted data may be made public whenever deemed necessary.

Medical colleges are required to pay an online fee of Rs. 3,54,000, inclusive of 18% GST, through the official payment gateway while submitting the application for permission to admit undergraduate medical seats for AY 2026-27. No offline or alternative mode of payment will be accepted.

The last date to submit the Annual Disclosure Report along with the applicable fee on the NMC portal is 30 May 2026. The commission has clearly stated that no extension will be granted beyond the deadline.
