The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the deadline for NEET UG 2026 candidates to update or confirm their bank account details for the examination fee refund. According to the latest public notice issued on 7 July 2026, eligible candidates can now submit or modify their bank details until 14 July 2026 (11:50 PM).

The decision comes after the cancellation of the NEET UG 2026 examination, which was conducted on 3 May 2026. Following the cancellation, NTA announced that the examination fee would be refunded to all registered candidates.

Why Has NTA Extended the Deadline?

NTA had previously asked candidates to verify or update their bank account details through a public notice issued on 30 June 2026. So far, around 10,28,223 candidates have successfully completed the process and refunds have already been initiated for them.

Since many candidates have not yet confirmed their banking information, the agency has reopened the refund portal to ensure that all eligible students receive their refunds without any inconvenience.

How to Update Your Bank Details

Candidates can complete the refund verification process by following these steps:

1. Visit the official NEET UG 2026 portal.
2. Log in using your application credentials.
3. Click on "Bank Account Details Confirmation/Updation."
4. Complete the two-factor authentication process.
5. Enter or update your bank account details carefully.
6. Submit the information and, if available, upload a cancelled cheque for verification (optional but recommended).

Important Instructions

• Candidates who have already updated their bank details and received their refund do not need to take any further action.
• Uploading a cancelled cheque is optional but can help avoid errors during verification.
• Candidates are advised to complete the process before 14 July 2026 to prevent any delay in receiving the refund.
