In a significant move aimed at improving the quality and transparency of national-level examinations, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has launched a new training initiative titled "Pariksha Karmayogi: Capacity-Building Programme for Examination Officials." The announcement was made via an official press release dated June 13, 2026.

The programme has been rolled out on the Government of India's iGOT Karmayogi Bharat platform and is designed to strengthen supervision and invigilation during NTA examinations. Its primary goal is to equip examination officials with the knowledge and skills required to conduct exams in a smooth, secure, and fair manner.

'Pariksha Karmayogi' is a dedicated digital training programme created for officials responsible for conducting NTA examinations. The initiative is focused on building the professional competence of examination personnel and ensuring uniform adherence to standard procedures across all centres.

The course is primarily intended for:

  • Centre Superintendents
  • Invigilators
  • Other examination functionaries involved in NTA exams, including NEET (UG)

Course Structure: What Officials Will Learn

The programme is divided into four modules, each addressing a different phase of examination management:

Module 1 : Introduces officials to their roles and responsibilities, emphasizing fairness, transparency and integrity in the examination process.

Module 2 : Covers pre-examination preparedness, including centre readiness, security arrangements, and compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Module 3 : Details examination-day operations and duties before, during, and after the exam is conducted.

Module 4 : Functions as a quick reference guide, summarizing essential instructions and responsibilities for quick recall.

Why This Matters for Students

Although the programme targets examination staff, its impact is expected to extend to students as well. A better-trained workforce can contribute to fairer and more transparent exams, stronger security at centres, consistent enforcement of rules, fewer procedural lapses, and an overall smoother experience for candidates.

Given the growing scrutiny around exam management and integrity in recent years, NTA's move comes at a time when stronger institutional systems are increasingly seen as necessary. Through 'Pariksha Karmayogi', the agency aims to build a more accountable and efficient examination ecosystem.

NTA's Push for Improved Examination Standards

As stated in the press release, the initiative is part of NTA's ongoing efforts to leverage technology for capacity building and to strengthen the country's examination framework. By fostering a trained and certified workforce, the agency aims to uphold consistent standards of examination administration nationwide.

For students preparing for competitive exams, this development marks a step toward a more dependable and candidate-friendly testing environment.
