Candidates are strongly advised to complete the process well within the deadline, as the agency has explicitly stated that details once submitted will be treated as final and no revisions will be permitted thereafter.

NTA Advises Against Chargebacks

In a notable advisory included within the notice, the NTA has cautioned all NEET (UG)-2026 candidates not to initiate a chargeback for the examination fee with their banks or payment providers. A chargeback, wherein a cardholder disputes a charge directly with their bank, could complicate and delay the official refund process being managed by NTA.

Important Reminders for Candidates

  • Submission of bank details is final and irreversible, no modifications allowed after submission
  • Do NOT initiate a chargeback with your bank or payment provider
  • Ensure the account is active and operational before submitting details
  • The name entered must exactly match the bank account holder's name
  • Cross-check your IFSC code from your bank's official website or passbook
  • Upload a cancelled cheque if unsure about account details, it adds an extra layer of accuracy
  • Complete the process well before the 27 May deadline to avoid last-minute issues
