CUET UG Dress Code Guidelines
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released an important advisory regarding the dress code and permissible items for candidates appearing in the Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG) 2026. The examination will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode from May 11 to May 31, 2026 across India and in 15 cities abroad.
According to the public notice issued on May 7, 2026, candidates are advised to strictly follow the examination guidelines to ensure smooth entry and frisking at the exam centres.
As per the advisory, candidates are allowed to carry transparent water bottles inside the examination centre. Students may also wear articles or objects of faith, including religious threads such as kalava, but they are advised to report early to complete the security checking process smoothly.
NTA has also stated that candidates may wear light woollen clothes if required due to weather conditions, subject to proper frisking at the centre. Additionally, normal shoes, slippers and low heels have been recommended as preferred footwear for the examination.
Candidates facing any queries related to CUET UG 2026 can contact the NTA Help Desk at 011-40759000 or email at cuet-ug@nta.ac.in.
