NTA has opened the NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam OMR challenge window

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has activated the OMR Answer Sheet and Recorded Response Challenge facility for candidates who appeared in the NEET UG 2026 Re-Examination conducted on 21 June 2026. Candidates can now verify their scanned OMR sheets and machine-recorded responses online and report any mismatch before the deadline.

NTA Releases Scanned OMR Sheets & Recorded Responses

Through a public notice issued on 13 July 2026, NTA informed candidates that the scanned OMR answer sheets and machine-recorded responses for the NEET UG 2026 re-examination have been uploaded on the official portal.

Candidates can log in using their Application Number and Password to view their scanned OMR sheet. A copy of the scanned OMR has also been sent to the registered email address used during the application process.

If candidates notice that the response recorded by the scanning system differs from the option actually marked on their physical OMR sheet, or if there is any error in details such as Roll Number, Booklet Number, or Set Code, they can submit an online challenge within the prescribed period. 

Important Notice for Candidates

Candidates should note that this facility is only for challenging recorded OMR responses and data-field errors.

The Answer Key Challenge process has already been completed and no objections related to answer keys will be accepted during this window. 

Challenge Fee & Refund Policy

Candidates must pay a processing fee of ₹200 for each challenged response or data field.

  • Credit Card

The processing fee is collected at the time of submission and is generally non-refundable.

However, according to NTA's official guidelines, if the challenge is found to be correct and the scanning agency has made an error while recording the response, the fee for that particular challenge will be refunded.

The last date to submit challenges and complete payment is: 15 July 2026 (11:00 AM)

How to Challenge NEET UG 2026 Recorded Responses

Follow these simple steps:

  1. Visit the official NEET website.
  2. Log in using your Application Number and Password.
  3. Complete the Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) using the OTP sent to your registered mobile number and email ID.
  4. Click on "View/Challenge OMR Sheet & Recorded Responses."
  5. Carefully compare your scanned OMR sheet with the machine-recorded responses.
  6. Select the question(s) where you find a mismatch.
  7. Choose the response that you actually marked.
  8. Pay the applicable challenge fee.
  9. Submit the challenge.
  10. Download and save the Acknowledgement Page for future reference.

What Happens Next?

After the challenge window closes on 15 July 2026, NTA will verify all submitted objections against the original scanned OMR sheets.

If any challenge is found to be valid, the necessary corrections will be incorporated before the preparation of the final NEET UG 2026 result.

Candidates should keep the downloaded Acknowledgement Page safely, as it serves as proof that the challenge was successfully submitted.
