OJEE Releases MBBS & BDS Counselling Guidelines
The Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) Committee has released the official MBBS & BDS Counselling Guidelines 2026 for admissions under State Quota and NRI Quota seats. The notification outlines eligibility criteria, reservation policy, counselling procedure, fee structure, required documents and admission rules for NEET UG 2026 qualified candidates.
Who Can Apply?
Candidates who have qualified NEET UG 2026 and meet Odisha domicile requirements are eligible for State Quota seats. Eligible NRI candidates can also apply under the NRI quota. Applicants must be at least 17 years old by December 31, 2026, have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and satisfy the prescribed NEET qualifying percentile.
Reservation Policy
OJEE will follow the Odisha Government reservation norms:
- ST – 22.5%
- SC – 16.25%
- SEBC – 11.25%
- EWS – 10%
- PwBD – 5% (Horizontal)
- Ex-Servicemen – 3%
- Green Card – 5%
- State Government School Students – 15%
Registration & Counselling Process
Candidates must register online through the OJEE counselling portal by creating a login using their NEET UG 2026 credentials and paying a non-refundable registration fee of ₹1,000. After document verification, the State Merit List will be prepared, followed by online choice filling, seat allotment, and reporting. The counselling will be conducted in three rounds, with a Stray Vacancy Round if required.
Fee Structure
- Government Medical/Dental Colleges – ₹37,950 per annum
- Hi-Tech Medical College, Bhubaneswar – ₹11.56 lakh
- Hi-Tech Medical College, Rourkela – ₹8.54 lakh
- DRIEMS Institute of Health Sciences – ₹9.08 lakh
- Private Hi-Tech Dental Colleges – ₹3 lakh
- NRI candidates – Four times the applicable private college fee
- University Registration Fee – ₹3,500
Important Advisory
OJEE has clarified that qualifying NEET UG 2026 does not guarantee admission. Seat allotment will depend on NEET rank, reservation category, candidate preferences, and seat availability. Candidates are advised to regularly visit the official OJEE counselling portal for updates, as no separate communication will be sent.
