Puducherry NEET UG 2026 Information Brochure Released
The Directorate of Higher and Technical Education, Government of Puducherry, has released the CENTAC 2026-27 Information Brochure for admission to undergraduate medical courses based on NEET UG 2026 scores. The Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC) will conduct the counselling process for MBBS, BDS, BAMS and BVSc & A.H. programmes through a single online application system.

Courses and Seats Under CENTAC 2026-27 Counselling
CENTAC counselling will cover admissions to NEET UG-based courses offered by government and private medical institutions in the Union Territory of Puducherry.

A total of approximately 1,344 seats will be available across these courses. Seats under the All India Quota (AIQ) will be allotted separately by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).

CENTAC 2026 Application Process
Eligible candidates must complete the online registration process through the official CENTAC website. The application procedure includes the following steps:
- Visit the official CENTAC portal and register using a valid mobile number and email ID.
- Log in and fill in personal, academic, and NEET UG-related details.
- Upload the required documents in the prescribed format.
- Pay the application fee through the online payment gateway.
- Submit course preferences after successful fee payment.
Candidates can apply under Government Quota (GQ), Management Quota (MQ), or NRI Quota as applicable. No additional quota categories can be added after the final submission deadline.

Eligibility Criteria for CENTAC NEET UG Counselling 2026
Candidates must fulfil the following eligibility conditions:
- Applicants must have a valid NEET UG 2026 rank to participate in counselling.
- Candidates must have passed Class 12 with the required minimum marks:
- 50% marks for General and EWS category candidates.
- 40% marks for OBC/MBC/EBC/BCM/SC/ST/BT/PwD category candidates.
- The minimum age requirement is 17 years as on December 31, 2026.
- There is no upper age limit for MBBS and BDS admissions.
- Puducherry residents, candidates from other states and NRI/OCI/Foreign National applicants can apply under their respective eligibility categories.
CENTAC 2026-27 Counselling Schedule and Rounds
CENTAC will conduct the NEET UG counselling process in four rounds:
- Round 1
- Round 2
- Round 3
- Stray Vacancy Round
Candidates will have to submit fresh course preferences for each counselling round. Those who are allotted seats must report to the respective colleges within the given timeline, carrying all original documents and paying the required admission fee.
Failure to report within the specified period will lead to automatic cancellation of the allotted seat.
