The Department of Higher and Technical Education, Government of Sikkim, has released the online counselling schedule (seat allotment process) for the stray round of MBBS Admission 2026 at Sikkim Manipal Institute of Medical Sciences (SMIMS). The schedule is given in Annexure-II and is dated 13 October 2026.

SMIMS MBBS 2026 Stray Round Schedule

• Choice filling: 14 October 2026, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (1 day)
• Processing of seat allotment: 15 October 2026 (1 day)
• Result: 18 October 2026 (1 day)
• Payment of fees: 18 October 2026 to 20 October 2026 (3 days) as per the schedule table. Step 4 of the notice mentions 18 October to 19 October 2026
• Physical reporting (last date of joining): by 26 October 2026

Stray Round Process

• Step 1: The choice filling period is from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on 14 October 2026
• Step 2: Online forms will be scrutinised on 15 October 2026 by the Counselling Committee, chaired by the Chairperson from the Government of Sikkim
• Step 3: The result will be published online on 18 October 2026
• Step 4: Payment of fees from 18 October 2026 to 19 October 2026 (the table shows 18 to 20 October 2026)
• Step 5: Physical reporting by 26 October 2026

Important Note

• The seat allotment is provisional. It will be confirmed only on physical reporting of candidates and physical verification of documents

What Candidates Should Do

• Fill in choices online on 14 October 2026 between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM
• Check the stray round result online on 18 October 2026
• Pay the fees within the payment window after the result
• Report physically with original documents by 26 October 2026 for verification and confirmation of the seat
• Keep checking the official website for updates, as the dates given are as per the notice dated 13 October 2026
