Tamil Nadu MBBS Round 3 joining date has been extended. Candidates should check the revised deadline and complete reporting and admission formalities within the updated schedule.
The Selection Committee, Directorate of Medical Education & Research (DME&R), Kilpauk, Chennai, has extended the Round 3 joining date by one day for Tamil Nadu medical counselling 2026. The decision follows representations from candidates and the Tamil Nadu Medical Selection Committee’s discussion with DGHS. The notification (No. 33/SCS1(1)/2026) is dated 07 October 2026.
Revised Tamil Nadu Round 3 schedule
- Choice filling and locking: candidates can fill and lock their choices till 5:00 PM on 9 October 2026
- Seat allotment processing: 10 and 11 October 2026
- Round 3 result: to be published on 12 October 2026
- Allotment order download: from 12 October 2026 till 12:00 noon on 15 October 2026
- Last reporting date for Tamil Nadu Round 3: 15 October 2026, 5:00 PM
Important note for AIQ candidates
- Candidates who have joined in AIQ (All India Quota) up to Round 3 will be removed from the processing of state Round 3 results
What candidates should do
- Complete choice filling and lock choices before 5:00 PM on 9 October 2026
- Download the allotment order from the official website between 12 October and 12:00 noon on 15 October 2026
- Report to the allotted college on or before 5:00 PM on 15 October 2026
