The Selection Committee, Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DME&R), Tamil Nadu, has announced the reopening of the online application window for MBBS and BDS Degree Courses (2026–27 Session). The one-time extension has been provided to help candidates who were unable to complete or submit their applications within the earlier deadline.

According to the official notification dated July 25, 2026, the reopened application window will remain active from 10:00 AM on July 26, 2026, to 3:00 PM on July 27, 2026.

Who Can Apply?

This reopening is only for candidates who have not yet submitted their online applications for MBBS/BDS admissions under the Tamil Nadu state counselling process. It is a one-time opportunity and no further extension will be granted after the deadline.

Editing of Submitted Applications Not Allowed

The Selection Committee has clarified that already submitted applications cannot be edited because the scrutiny process is already underway. Allowing modifications at this stage would delay the ongoing verification process.

However, candidates who have already submitted their applications with minor clerical or typographical errors need not panic. Such errors will be reviewed during the document verification and scrutiny process.

• No editing facility is available for submitted applications.
• Candidates should complete the application well before the deadline to avoid last-minute technical issues.
