The Tamil Nadu Selection Committee, Directorate of Medical Education & Research, has extended the NEET UG 2026 Round 1 counselling schedule following the extension of the All India Quota counselling schedule by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).

As per the notification dated August 18, 2026, candidates participating in Tamil Nadu State UG Medical Counselling can now register, fill their choices, and lock their preferences until 5:00 PM on August 20, 2026.

Revised Tamil Nadu NEET UG 2026 Round 1 Schedule

Candidates are advised to complete their choice filling and locking within the revised deadline. Those allotted seats in Round 1 must download their allotment orders and report to the allotted institution before the stipulated deadline.

The extension provides additional time for candidates to complete the Tamil Nadu NEET UG 2026 counselling process in line with the revised MCC counselling schedule.
