Tamil Nadu NEET UG 2026 Round 1 Counselling Schedule Released
The Selection Committee, Directorate of Medical Education & Research (DMER), Chennai, has released the Round 1 online counselling schedule for MBBS and BDS admissions in Tamil Nadu for the 2026–27 academic session. The counselling covers Tamil Nadu Government Medical and Dental Colleges, ESIC Medical College, government and management quota seats in self-financing institutions, State Private Universities, Christian Medical College, Vellore and other eligible categories.

The Round 1 registration and choice-filling window is open from August 13 to August 19, while seat allotment processing will take place on August 20 and the result will be published on August 21.
Registration Fee and Security Deposit
Candidates must pay a non-refundable registration fee of ₹500 for Government Quota and ₹1,000 for Management Quota. A refundable security deposit of ₹30,000 is applicable for Government Quota seats in self-financing medical and dental colleges and State Private Universities, while the Management Quota security deposit, including Minority and NRI seats, is ₹1,00,000.
Candidates can edit their choices any number of times before locking. However, choices cannot be changed after locking. If choices are not locked by 19 August 2026 at 5:00 PM, they will be automatically locked.
Reporting and Document Verification
Candidates allotted seats must download their provisional allotment order and report to the concerned college within the specified deadline. Original certificates must be produced in person during joining, along with scanned copies for verification. Failure to report within the prescribed time may result in cancellation of the selection or admission.
