Fresh registration in Round 2 is permitted for candidates who did not register in Round 1, provided they had already applied to the Tamil Nadu Medical Selection Committee and their names appear in the published merit list. Candidates wishing to upgrade their Round 1 seat must participate as per the prescribed procedure.
Choice Filling and Seat Upgradation
Candidates seeking upgradation, those who were not allotted seats and candidates who did not join their allotted seats are required to fill their choices. Once choices are locked, they cannot be modified.
Candidates upgraded in Round 2 will have to relinquish their Round 1 seat and join the newly allotted seat. They will not retain any claim over their previous Round 1 seat.
The authority has also stated that choice locking will be enabled only after September 12, 2026, at 10:00 AM, as All India Quota results are likely to be declared on September 11. If candidates fail to lock their choices by the deadline of September 13 at 2:00 PM, their choices will be automatically locked.
Allotment Order and Reporting
Freshly allotted candidates must download their provisional allotment order and join the allotted medical or dental college within the specified deadline. Tuition fee payment requirements apply as per the applicable quota and category.
Certificate verification will be conducted at the selected college. Candidates must carry their original certificates along with scanned copies at the time of joining. Failure to report within the prescribed date and time may result in cancellation of the selection or admission.
