Background on Counselling Delay

The Telangana NEET PG 2024 counselling process was delayed due to issues in the state merit list and the introduction of a new domicile rule. Initially, medical aspirants needed to complete four consecutive years of schooling in the state to qualify for state quota seats. However, following a High Court directive after a petition by 94 applicants, the new local residency rule was rescinded, restoring the earlier eligibility criteria.
