Telangana NEET UG Phase 1 MBBS Web Options Open, Check Deadline
The Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS), Telangana has released the notification for exercising web options for Phase 1 counselling for MBBS admissions under the Competent Authority Quota (CQ) for the Academic Year 2026-27.
The counselling process applies to Government, Private Unaided Minority and Non-Minority Medical Colleges affiliated with KNRUHS. Eligible candidates can now exercise their choices through the official counselling portal within the prescribed schedule.
Important Dates
Candidates whose names appear in the final merit list published on August 28, 2026 can exercise web options as per the following schedule:

Who Can Exercise Web Options?
Candidates are eligible to participate if their certificates were uploaded during online registration, provisionally verified and their names are included in the final merit list for UG Medical Admissions.
The eligible categories include candidates under EWS, PWD, PMC, CAP and SCCL, as applicable.
No Limit on Number of Choices
KNRUHS has clarified that there is no limit on the number of colleges or choices that candidates can select while exercising web options.
Candidates are advised to enter their choices carefully and arrange them according to their preferred colleges and courses.
University Fee for Allotted Candidates
Candidates who are allotted a seat must pay a University Fee of ₹12,000 through the prescribed online payment gateway.
Payment can be made using:
- Debit Card
- Credit Card
- Internet Banking
The allotment order can be downloaded after successful payment.
The University Fee is non-refundable under any circumstances.
Duplicate Payment
If a payment fails initially and the candidate subsequently makes a successful duplicate payment, the candidate can email knruhs.doublepayments@gmail.com for refund-related processing. The refund will be processed only after the closure of admissions.
Tuition Fee Details
The tuition fee is separate from the University Fee.
- Government Medical Colleges: Tuition fee must be paid directly to the respective college as per its notification.
- Private Medical Colleges: Tuition fee will be payable at the respective college according to G.O.Ms.No. 98, HM&FW(C1) Department, dated August 7, 2026.
Important Instructions for Candidates
Candidates participating in Phase 1 counselling should keep the following points in mind:
- Candidates can select any number of colleges while exercising web options.
- Candidates who do not exercise web options in Phase 1 will not be eligible to participate in subsequent phases.
- Candidates who are allotted a seat but do not join the allotted college will also be barred from exercising web options in later phases.
- A 6-letter alphabetic OTP will be sent to the candidate's registered mobile number during the web-option process.
- SMS alerts will be sent to candidates after seat allotment.
- Candidates must log in after each phase to check their allotment status.
- Selected candidates must report to the Principal of the allotted college with their original certificates, required bonds and tuition fee payment before the deadline mentioned in the allotment order.
- Failure to report within the prescribed deadline will result in automatic cancellation of admission.
- Final verification of original certificates will be conducted at the allotted college.
- Any discrepancy found during verification can lead to cancellation of the provisional allotment.
Minority Medical College Seat Reservation
KNRUHS has specified that Competent Authority Quota seats in Minority Medical Colleges are reserved for Muslim Minority candidates only.
However, eligible Muslim Minority candidates can also participate for Competent Authority Quota seats in other applicable colleges.
What Candidates Should Do Now
Eligible candidates should log in to the Telangana NEET UG counselling portal and complete their Phase 1 web-option entry between August 29 and September 1, 2026. Candidates should carefully prioritize their college choices and ensure that they complete the process before the deadline.
Candidates allotted a seat must subsequently complete the required fee payment, document verification and college reporting within the deadline specified in their allotment order.
