UP NEET Counselling 2024: Security Deposit Refund Process Now Open
The Uttar Pradesh NEET Counselling 2024 refund process for security deposits has officially started. This financial component, essential for securing seats in both government and private medical colleges, is now eligible for refunds based on specific conditions.
Security Deposit Amounts
Candidates were required to pay the following security deposits during the counselling process:
- ₹30,000 for seats in Government Colleges (MBBS & BDS).
- ₹2,00,000 for seats in Private Medical Colleges (MBBS).
- ₹1,00,000 for seats in Private Dental Colleges (BDS).
Refund Policy:
The refund policy is based on three key scenarios:
- Full Refund for Non-Allotment: If no seat is allotted, candidates will receive a full refund of their deposit.
- Forfeiture Due to Non-Reporting: Candidates who fail to report to their allotted college within the stipulated time will forfeit their deposit.
- Partial Refund on Withdrawal: For candidates withdrawing after seat allotment, the refund amount will depend on the rules specified by the counselling authority.
Candidates are encouraged to check the official counselling portal for detailed guidelines and ensure timely compliance with refund procedures. This initiative is a crucial step in wrapping up the counselling process efficiently and transparently.
