The Directorate General of Medical Education and Training (DGME), Uttar Pradesh, has commenced the online choice-filling process for Round 1 of UP NEET UG Counselling 2026. The choice-filling window opened on September 2, 2026, at 5:00 PM for candidates seeking admission to MBBS and BDS courses under the Uttar Pradesh State Quota.

Eligible candidates can now enter and lock their preferred colleges and courses through the official UP NEET UG counselling portal. The choice-filling facility will remain available until September 5, 2026, at 5:00 PM.

The counselling process is being conducted in accordance with the schedule issued by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), New Delhi, for NEET UG admissions. DGME Uttar Pradesh issued the latest notification under Notice No. M.E-3/2026/1603 dated September 1, 2026.

What Happens After Choice Filling?

After the choice-filling window closes, the authorities will process the preferences submitted by candidates and announce the Round 1 seat allotment result on September 7, 2026.

Candidates who are allotted an MBBS or BDS seat will be required to download their allotment letters and complete the admission process at the allotted college between September 8 and September 14, 2026.

Aspirants are advised to carefully arrange their college and course preferences before locking their choices, as the submitted preferences will play an important role in the seat allotment process.
