Candidates should carefully verify all details before proceeding with reporting and admission.

Who Was Considered for Round 1 Allotment?

Candidates who successfully registered, paid the applicable security amount and locked their choices within the prescribed timeline were considered for Round 1 seat allotment.

The allotment is prepared based on several factors, including NEET UG 2026 rank, category, applicable reservation, choice preference and seat availability.

Documents Required for Reporting

Candidates allotted seats should carry the required original documents along with self-attested photocopies, including:

  • Round 1 seat allotment letter
  • NEET UG 2026 admit card
  • NEET UG 2026 scorecard/rank letter
  • Class 10 mark sheet and certificate
  • Class 12 mark sheet and certificate
  • Domicile certificate, where applicable
  • Category/caste certificate, where applicable
  • Valid identity proof
  • Passport-size photographs
  • Fee payment receipt and other documents specified by the counselling authority

Candidates should check the official instructions carefully and carry sufficient photocopies for document verification.

Freeze, Float and Slide Options

After allotment and reporting, candidates should carefully understand the applicable options for continuing in the counselling process:

  • Freeze: The candidate accepts the allotted seat and does not participate in further upgrades.
  • Float: The candidate accepts the current seat but remains eligible for a higher-preference allotment in a subsequent round.
  • Slide: The candidate accepts the seat while remaining eligible for an upgrade to another course within the same institution, where applicable.

Candidates should carefully read the official counselling rules before selecting any option, as the consequences of each choice can affect subsequent allotment.

What If No Seat Is Allotted in Round 1?

Candidates who do not receive a seat in Round 1 are not necessarily out of the counselling process. They may remain eligible for subsequent rounds, subject to the UP NEET UG 2026 counselling rules and eligibility conditions.

Candidates should keep checking the official portal for further choice-filling, registration and seat allotment updates.

Important Advisory for Candidates

Candidates allotted seats in Round 1 should not miss the reporting deadline of September 14, 2026. They should complete document verification and other admission formalities within the prescribed timeline.

Candidates should also carefully consider their options if they are simultaneously participating in MCC All India Quota counselling and should follow the applicable rules regarding seat acceptance and reporting.
