The Directorate General of Medical Education and Training (DGME), Lucknow, has released the Round 1 Seat Matrix for UP NEET UG 2026 counselling. The seat matrix provides the total intake and category-wise distribution of seats for participating medical and dental colleges across Uttar Pradesh.

The matrix covers MBBS and BDS courses offered by government, university-run, private and minority institutions participating in the first round of counselling.

UP NEET UG 2026 Seat Matrix: College-Wise Details

The Round 1 seat matrix includes colleges under the following categories:

• Autonomous State Medical Colleges (Government)
• Government Medical Colleges and University Institutions, including King George's Medical University (KGMU) and Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences (RMLIMS)
• Private Medical and Dental Colleges
• Minority Institutions, including Muslim, Sikh and Jain minority colleges

For each participating college, the matrix provides a detailed category-wise seat breakup, including Unreserved (UR), Backward Class (BC), Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Economically Weaker Section (EWS/EW) seats.

The matrix also includes applicable sub-categories such as Open, Girls, Physically Handicapped, Ex-Servicemen, Freedom Fighter and Non-Creamy Layer seats.
