Uttarakhand NEET UG Admission Procedure for Freeze and Float Candidates Released
Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Uttarakhand Medical Education University (HNBUMU) has released important instructions regarding the NEET UG 2026 Uttarakhand State Centralized Counselling – Round 2 admission procedure for candidates allotted seats under the Freeze and Float options.
Admission Procedure for Freeze Candidates
Candidates who have selected the Freeze option are required to log in to the counselling portal, download their allotment letter, accept the offer and upload the mandatory documents. The allotted college will verify the documents online.
After successful verification, candidates must pay the prescribed Advance Tuition Fee online and download the fee receipt and Freeze Confirmation Slip. Candidates must then personally report to the allotted college with the required original documents and complete the remaining fee payment and admission formalities.
Candidates who confirm admission under the Freeze option will not be permitted to participate in subsequent counselling rounds.
Procedure for Float Candidates
Both newly allotted candidates and candidates whose seats have been upgraded under the Float option must log in, download the allotment letter, accept the offer and upload the mandatory documents.
The allotted college will verify the documents online. Physical document verification at the allotted institute is not required for Float candidates. Candidates must download the Float Confirmation Slip after completing the required online process.
Advance Tuition Fee
The notice also specifies the centralized Advance Tuition Fee payable for different allotted institutions. For example, the fee is ₹50,000 for Veer Chandra Singh Garhwali Government Medical Science & Research Institute, Srinagar Garhwal, and Soban Singh Jeena Government Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, Almora, while several private medical colleges have an advance tuition fee of ₹10 lakh.

Important Document Verification Instructions
Freeze candidates must ensure that their uploaded documents and other required records are made available to the concerned college by the prescribed deadline of September 18, 2026. Failure to meet the requirements or failure to satisfy the prescribed eligibility criteria may result in cancellation of the allotted seat.
Candidates whose seats have been upgraded to a new institution under the Float option must upload their documents again through their login ID for online verification by the new allotted college. If an upgraded candidate fails to upload the required documents, the earlier Float seat may be automatically cancelled.
Candidates allotted seats under the NRI category are also required to upload the applicable NRI-related documents online.
