Uttarakhand NEET UG 2026 Round 1 Seat Surrender Deadline Announced
The Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Uttarakhand Medical Education University (HNBUMU), Dehradun, has issued an important notice regarding the seat surrender, withdrawal and resignation process for candidates allotted seats during Round 1 of the Uttarakhand Centralized NEET UG 2026 Counselling.
According to the notice dated September 7, 2026, candidates who wish to surrender their Round 1 allotted seat can do so without forfeiting their security deposit, provided they complete the prescribed surrender process within the specified deadline.
Uttarakhand NEET UG 2026 Seat Surrender Deadline
Candidates must complete the seat surrender process on or before 5:00 PM on September 9, 2026. The facility is available to candidates who were allotted seats in Round 1 and have opted for either FREEZE or FLOAT, subject to the respective procedure.

Surrender Process for FREEZE Candidates
Candidates who selected the FREEZE option in Round 1 and have completed the admission process at their allotted institute must personally visit the concerned institute to complete the seat surrender procedure.
The surrender must be completed by 5:00 PM on September 9, 2026 to avoid forfeiture of the security deposit.
Surrender Process for FLOAT Candidates
Candidates who selected the FLOAT option can surrender their allotted Round 1 seat online through their counselling account.
They are required to log in using their Login ID and complete the prescribed surrender process before the deadline of 5:00 PM on September 9, 2026.
No Surrender After the Deadline
The counselling authority has clearly stated that no candidate, whether FREEZE or FLOAT, will be allowed to surrender their Round 1 allotted seat after 5:00 PM on September 9, 2026.
Therefore, candidates who no longer wish to retain their Round 1 seat should complete the applicable surrender procedure within the stipulated time.
