The Directorate of Medical Education, Government of West Bengal, has released the tentative schedule for the Special Stray Round for MBBS and Round 5 for BDS under WB NEET UG 2026 counselling. The schedule covers State Quota and Private Management Quota seats in West Bengal. It was issued on 2 November 2026 under Memo No. HFW-23099/320/2026/M/3849 and signed by Prof. (Dr.) Indrajit Saha, Director of Medical Education and Chairman of the West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee.

Tentative schedule

• Online registration by NEET UG 2026 qualified candidates: 11 AM on 3 November 2026 to 6 PM on 4 November 2026 (as per server time)
• Online fee payment: 11 AM on 3 November 2026 to 12 midnight on 4 November 2026 (as per server time)
• Verification of candidates after successful registration and fee payment: 4 November and 5 November 2026, 11 AM to 4 PM (as per server time). Verification is done in the already designated college and time slot by the software. It is not applicable to NRI candidates, for whom the notice refers to Notice Point No. 3.
• Publication of the list of successfully verified candidates and the seat matrix: 5 November 2026 after 5 PM
• Online choice filling and choice locking by verified candidates: 6 PM on 5 November 2026 to 2 PM on 6 November 2026 (as per server time)
• Publication of allotment result: 12 November 2026 after 2 PM
• Reporting and admission to the allotted institute: 13 November, 14 November and 16 November 2026, from 10 AM to 4 PM (as per server time)

Reporting and admission

• Allotted candidates must report with the required original documents, college fee and bond after physical document verification. Once re-verified, they can be admitted to the allotted college.
• For all private medical colleges, the admission process will be held in different government medical colleges in Kolkata. The related notice is already published on the website.
• For all private dental colleges, the admission process will be held at Dr. R. Ahmed Dental College.

MCC schedule for the same round

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has also announced the NEET UG 2026 schedule for the Special Stray Round for MBBS and Round 5 for BDS and B.Sc Nursing.

• All India Quota, Deemed and Central Universities: 2 November to 7 November 2026
• Sharing of allotted AIQ candidates’ data with the states for weeding: 7 November 2026
• State counselling: 3 November to 7 November 2026
• Last date of joining: 16 November 2026
• All institutes and colleges are directed to treat Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted holidays as working days.

What candidates should do

• Register and pay the fee online before the deadlines on 4 November 2026.
• Complete the software-based verification on 4 or 5 November 2026 in the designated college and time slot.
• Check the verified list and seat matrix on 5 November 2026 after 5 PM, then complete choice filling and locking before 2 PM on 6 November 2026.
• Check the allotment result on 12 November 2026 after 2 PM and report to the allotted institute on 13, 14 or 16 November 2026 with original documents, fee and bond.
• Follow the official WB medical counselling website for further notices, since the schedule is tentative.
