The West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee (WBMCC) has released the Revised Provisional List of Candidates Eligible for Choice Filling in Round 1 of WB UG Medical and Dental Counselling 2026, dated 25 August 2026. The list, running to 178 pages, names a total of 10,085 candidates drawn from across the General, OBC, SC and ST categories, ranked by their NEET UG 2026 All India Rank (AIR) — from AIR 200 at the top of the list to candidates beyond AIR 11,94,000 lower down, covering both State Quota and Private Management Quota seats.

The revised list follows WBMCC's updated Round 1 schedule announced on 20 August 2026, after the committee extended the physical document verification window to 7 PM on 24 August 2026. With document verification concluded, WBMCC has now moved candidates into the choice-filling phase.

Choice Filling Window Now Open

As per WBMCC's revised schedule, the choice-filling window for Round 1 is open from 25 to 27 August 2026. Candidates named in this revised eligible list must log in to the official portal, review the Round 1 seat matrix, and arrange their preferred Government and Private medical/dental colleges in order before locking their choices. Choices not locked manually will be auto-locked by the system at the close of the window.

What Happens Next

Following the close of choice filling, WBMCC is scheduled to declare the Round 1 seat allotment result on 31 August 2026. Candidates allotted a seat will then need to complete institute reporting between 1 and 5 September 2026, carrying original documents to confirm their admission at the allotted college.
