Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Mumbai is India’s premier nuclear research institution, established in 1954 by Dr. Homi J. Bhabha. It functions under the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Government of India, and its academic activities are affiliated with the Homi Bhabha National Institute (HBNI), a deemed university. BARC is involved in advanced research and training and offers postgraduate-level education, research programs and PhD opportunities in nuclear science, medical radiation sciences and allied disciplines.
