The college is popularly known as Rajiv Gandhi Ayurvedic College Paprola, and it was founded in 1978. At that time, the college was affiliated with Punjab faculty Chandigarh. After wards, in the year 1978, on 3rd March, It was undertaken by H.P. Government and was affiliated with Himachal Pradesh University in 1979.
