Kyrgyz State Medical Academy, named after I.K. Akhunbaev, was founded in 1939 in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. It is a top institution for studying MBBS in Kyrgyzstan. The academy began with 200 students and was established by professors from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kharkiv and Kyiv. The College is approved by the WHO, NMC and other international bodies, it now hosts around 4,400 students.
