Established in 1939 in Bishkek, Kyrgyz State Medical Academy, named after I.K. Akhunbaev, is a leading institution for MBBS studies in Kyrgyzstan. It began with 200 students and was founded by professors from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kharkiv, and Kyiv. With approval from WHO, NMC India, and other international bodies, it hosts around 4,400 students.
