Govt. Ayurveda College & Hospital was established in 2012, and the first batch of undergraduate students started in October 2014 with permission from the Ministry of AYUSH, Govt of India. Initially, the college had 60 seats, which increased to 75 seats from 2018 onwards. It is the second government institute in Northern Chhattisgarh offering Ayurvedic education and healthcare. The college also focuses on health education programs in remote villages of Chhattisgarh.
