3 Karnataka Candidates Bag AIR 1 In NEET 2024: The National Testing Agency released the NEET-2024 results on Tuesday evening, showcasing a remarkable achievement for Karnataka as three of its students clinched the top rank at the all-India level.

The three toppers are Kalyan V. from Sri Chaitanya Techno School, Marathahalli, Bengaluru; Sam Shreyas Joseph of Narayana Co-Kaveri, Bhavan, Kasavanahalli, Bengaluru; and Arjun Kishore from Mangaluru. Each of them attained a perfect score of 720 out of 720 marks (99.997129%) in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET).

Kalyan V. has also excelled in other competitive exams, securing the top rank in four streams – B.V.Sc (Veterinary), B-Pharma, Pharma-D, and B.Sc Nursing – in the recently announced CET-2024 results. He aims to join the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi.
Speaking to The Hindu, Kalyan stated, “Preparation was part of my daily routine, and studying the NCERT textbooks and solving NEET question papers helped me a lot. My family and I are delighted with the results. I will wait for the NEET counseling to know my chances of entering AIIMS Delhi.”
Sam Shreyas Joseph mentioned that he began his preparation early, almost two years ago, while in Class 11. “I enjoy helping people and contributing to society, which led me to choose the science stream. My father, who is also a doctor, inspired me to pursue this path. The institute’s materials and online resources, along with rigorous test schedules, helped me a lot. I aspire to join either AIIMS-Delhi or JIPMER Pondicherry for the MBBS course,” he said.

A total of 1,55,148 students from Karnataka registered for NEET, with 1,50,171 appearing for the exam. Of these, 89,088 candidates qualified, marking an improvement from previous years. In NEET-2023, 75,248 candidates qualified, compared to 72,262 in 2022. This year’s outstanding performance by Karnataka students underscores the state’s growing prominence in medical education and the dedication of its young aspirants.

The NTA recently declared the NEET 2024 results, revealing a record-breaking achievement where 67 candidates topped the MBBS entrance exam with an impressive percentage. These candidates attained a perfect score of 720, making them joint top performers. Among these exceptional scorers, 53 are male, and 14 are female.
