Updated final seat allocation for admission to postgraduate courses at INIs for the INI-CET July 2024 session

This result is released based on the information submitted by the candidates in the online application for INI-CET, without any verification of detailed eligibility, category certificates, sponsorship certificates, etc., as applicable.

Every candidate (including those who did not qualify) has been assigned a percentile score based on their performance in the INI-CET conducted on May 19th, 2024. These scores can be accessed on the "MyPage" portal after logging in with the Candidate ID and Password.

The qualifying percentile for the successful candidates has been established according to the examination pattern and scheme outlined in the Prospectus for Part – A, as detailed below: -

S. No. Category Qualifying Percentile
1 For Unreserved (UR), EWS/Sponsored/Deputed/Foreign National/Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) 50 Percentile
2 OBC, SC, ST, PwBD 45 Percentile
3 Bhutanese Nationals (PGI-Chandigarh only)

45 Percentile

In cases where multiple candidates achieve the same marks, tie-breaker criteria are applied sequentially as follows:
  1. Priority is given to the candidate with fewer negative marks.
  2. If the tie persists, the older candidate by age is given preference.

The status of candidates claiming OBC/EWS category after the preliminary verification of uploaded certificates will be communicated via email. The validity of category certificates is in accordance with the information provided in the INI-CET INFORMATION BROCHURE (Prospectus Part A) – July 2024 Session, specifically on page 27 under Important Dates/Notice published. Candidates who have claimed community reservations/relaxation but fail to provide valid certificates and fall within the cut-off percentile for unreserved seats will be treated as Unreserved. However, candidates failing to provide valid certificates and not meeting the cut-off percentile for unreserved seats will not be considered qualified, even if their roll number appears in the result.

The provisional results are subject to meeting the eligibility criteria outlined in the advertisement and prospectus. Selection is contingent upon the verification of eligibility and submission of original documents as applicable to the respective INIs, as per the prospectus. Candidates failing to meet the eligibility criteria of the respective INIs will not be considered for seat allocation in that institute. Any discrepancies detected at any stage may result in the cancellation of candidature/admission, even after admission.

Further instructions regarding the selection of institute and subject preferences for seat allocation based on INI-CET Rank will be provided.

All communication will be conducted through the website, email, and SMS on the candidates' registered email addresses and mobile numbers. AIIMS will not be held responsible for any losses due to delays in accessing the website/email/SMS or failure of delivery. Candidates are advised to stay vigilant and check the website for updates regularly.
