Examination Fee

The examination fee for the DNB-PDCET 2024 is Rs. 4250/-. Once the application forms are submitted, they cannot be withdrawn. The fee will neither be carried forward to a future date nor refunded under any circumstances. Any request for a refund, adjustment, or carry-forward of the application fee will not be considered.

How to Pay

1. The prescribed exam fee should be paid through a payment gateway using a credit card or a debit card issued by banks in India, or other available methods provided on the web page. The fee cannot be deposited through any mode other than the payment gateway available during the online application form submission.

2. Examination fees for candidates who are absent or declared ineligible for any reason will be forfeited. Candidates are advised to carefully read the information bulletin for DNB-PDCET 2024 and ensure they meet the eligibility criteria before proceeding with the payment of fees.

3. Ensure that the payment for the examination fee is successful and confirmed in the application form, indicated by the payment status as “S” (for successful). If the status is shown as pending, the payment may be stuck with your bank and could be cleared later. The application submission process is incomplete until the payment status is reflected as “S” in the application form. NBEMS is not responsible for the rejection of your application due to delays in the payment settlement by your bank.

4. It is at the applicant's discretion to make another payment to complete the application submission process. In case of duplicate or multiple examination fees for the same application ID, NBEMS will refund the excess fees, retaining the prescribed examination fee, after the application window closes.

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for admission to the 2-year Post Diploma DNB Courses are as follows:

1. Candidates who have passed the final examination for a Post Graduate Diploma from Indian universities recognized under the NMC Act 2019 and the repealed Indian Medical Council Act 1956 can apply for the DNB-PDCET 2024 in the same Broad Specialty through the online application system on the Nat Board official website.

2. The final examination result for the Post Graduate Diploma qualification must be declared on or before May 31, 2024.

3. Candidates must submit proof/documentary evidence clearly showing that the final examination result for their Post Graduate Diploma qualification was declared on or before the cutoff date of May 31, 2024.

4. If the submitted proof/documentary evidence does not clearly establish that the final examination result for the Post Graduate Diploma qualification was declared on or before May 31, 2024, the candidate's application will be cancelled, and they will be deemed ineligible.

5. Candidates found to be ineligible at any stage of DNB-PDCET 2024 will not be allowed to appear in the examination and/or counseling. If any ineligible candidate appears and/or is successful in the DNB-PDCET 2024, their results/candidature will be cancelled and/or deemed invalid.

6. Requests from candidates who qualify for the PG Medical Diploma after May 31, 2024, or have qualifications not recognized under the NMC Act 2019 and the repealed IMC Act 1956, will be rejected. Candidates are advised not to make such requests.

7. Candidates currently pursuing an MD/MS/DNB course are not eligible to appear for DNB-PDCET until they have completed the duration of the prescribed course or have been discharged from the course, regardless of resignation or discontinuation for any reason.

8. Candidates with Diploma qualifications awarded by the College of Physicians and Surgeons (CPS), Mumbai, other than DPB, DCH, and DGO, are NOT eligible to apply for DNB-PDCET, as per the Government of India clarification in MoHFW letter No. C.18018/11/2021-MEP dated April 30, 2021.

9. Registration with the NMC, the erstwhile Medical Council of India, or a State Medical Council is necessary. Documentary proof of this registration must be provided on the day of the examination and at the time of counseling/admission.

10. NBEMS does not verify the information provided by candidates during the online submission of the application form. Hence, candidature is purely provisional, subject to meeting the eligibility criteria mentioned in the Information Bulletin for DNB-PDCET 2024.

11. Candidates are advised not to canvass with NBEMS regarding eligibility for DNB-PDCET or the issuance of admit cards. Queries, if any, should be submitted through the Communication Web Portal only. Canvassing in any form will result in the rejection of the application.

SCHEME OF DNB-PDCET 2024

1. The DNB-PDCET 2024 will take place on July 21, 2024, as a computer-based exam held in a single session.

2. Questions will be set at the level of the Post Diploma exit examination in the relevant specialty. They will be multiple-choice questions (MCQs) delivered through computer-based testing.

3. The exam format will be multiple-choice questions administered via a computer network (CBT), following a prescribed scheme.

4. Each question will present four response options in English. Candidates must select the correct or most appropriate response from the given options.

5. There will be a total of 120 MCQs in each question paper, covering the entire curriculum relevant to the Diploma specialty. For example, the question paper for admission to the Post Diploma DNB Anaesthesia course will include all 120 questions from Anaesthesiology, covering the entire Diploma in Anaesthesia curriculum.

6. Candidates will have a total of 120 minutes to complete the exam.
