NEET PG 2024: NBE Opens Pre-Final Edit Window
NBE Opens Pre-Final Edit Window: The National Board of Medical Examinations (NBEMS) has opened the pre-final edit window for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test-Postgraduate (NEET PG) for the 2024 session.
The edit window for NEET PG 2024 started on May 10, 2024, and closed on May 16, 2024. The NEET PG 2024 exam is set to take place on June 23, 2024, on a computer-based platform at various test centers nationwide.
In an official notice regarding the pre-final edit window for NEET PG 2024, the NBE stated that after the edit window closed, it was observed that some candidates had not uploaded their photographs, signatures, and/or thumb impressions according to the prescribed Image Upload Instructions. These candidates must correct the images in their application forms during the pre-final edit window.
Those candidates are permitted to correct any incorrect image, signature, and/or thumb impression in their registration application forms until June 3, 2024.
Simultaneously, NBE stated in the notice that incorrect images can be edited multiple times before the pre-final editing window concludes. Nonetheless, candidates should be aware that only the last submitted information will be retained in the records.
Additionally, NBE has published the list of candidates who must rectify the images, signature, and/or thumb impression in their NEET PG 2024 applications.
Possible reasons for photograph rejections:
1. Photograph taken more than 3 months ago.
2. Insufficient lighting in the room.
3. Failure to use a white or light-colored background.
4. Photos that are overexposed or underexposed.
5. Not wearing formal attire while taking photos.
6. Presence of objects behind the candidate in the photograph.
7. Blurry image or poor image quality.
8. Closed eyes or not looking directly into the camera.
9. Glare on spectacles obscuring the eyes.
10. Black and white photographs.
11. Uploading a photo displayed on a mobile phone.
12. Cropped photograph extracted from a group photo.
13. Image lacking the full face, ears, neck, and shoulders of the candidate in a frontal view; Side poses or selfies.
14. Defective hue of the photo.
Potential reasons for signature rejections:
- Blurry signature.
- Signature written in capital letters.
- Signature placed on a ruled page.
- Use of initials instead of complete signatures.
- Uploading entire scanned pages instead of the designated signature box.
Possible reasons for thumb impression rejections:
1. Light pressure while pressing the thumb.
2. Excessive pressure while pressing the thumb.
3. Excess ink used.
4. Insufficient ink covering the entire fingertip.
5. Center loops and/or deltas are not clearly visible.
6. Uploading entire scanned pages instead of the designated impression box.
The NBEMS commenced the pre-final edit window for NEET PG 2024 applicants on May 28, 2024, following the closure of NEET PG 2024 registration on May 6, 2024, at 11:55 PM.
