NEET UG 2024 Supreme Court Hearing Live: Today, the Supreme Court acknowledged systemic deficiencies in the administration of the exam. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) confirmed to the Supreme Court that a paper leak occurred at the Hazaribagh centre. A CBI officer reported that some gadgets used by the involved gang were destroyed, while others were recovered yesterday and are now under investigation.

Additionally, the Chief Justice of India (CJI) stated on Tuesday that they received a report from IIT Delhi, led by Director Prof. Banerjee, confirming that option 4 is the correct answer. On Monday, the Supreme Court had instructed the Solicitor General to provide the correct answer to the disputed Physics question. An expert committee of three members from IIT-Delhi was assigned to resolve the issue that resulted in 44 students obtaining the top rank.

"We have received the IIT Delhi report. Director Prof. Banerjee formed a committee from the Department of Physics. The committee, consisting of three experts, examined the question and concluded that option 4 is the correct answer. Option 4 states 'statement 1 is correct but statement 2 is incorrect.' They clarified that statement 2 is incorrect because atoms of radioactive elements are not stable. The committee has definitively stated that option 4 is the only correct answer. Therefore, the National Testing Agency (NTA) was accurate in its answer key, which indicated option 4," said the CJI, referencing the IIT Delhi report.
