NTA to Send Official NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam Updates via WhatsApp, Warns Candidates Against Fraud
NTA has launched a verified WhatsApp channel to send official NEET UG 2026 re-exam updates and warns candidates against fraudulent messages ahead of the June 21 re-examination.
NTA Send Official Re-exam Updates Via Whatsapp
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has started sending official NEET UG 2026 re-exam updates via WhatsApp from its verified number, warning candidates against fake messages, scam links and fraud ahead of the re-examination scheduled for June 21, 2026.
NTA says exam-related communication will be sent directly to candidates through its verified WhatsApp account. Candidates should trust only messages from the verified account, +91 78279 80287, which displays a blue verification tick and the name "National Testing Agency." Any message claiming to be from NTA without that verified badge should be treated as suspicious.
NTA has clarified that its WhatsApp service is a broadcast-only channel, meaning candidates are not required to respond to messages received through it — and by extension, will never be asked for replies, personal details, OTPs, or payments through this channel.
Admit Cards: Old Ones Won't Work
NTA clarified that admit cards already downloaded for the June 21 exam do not need to be downloaded again, and that these messages are mainly meant for students who haven't yet accessed their new admit cards. Crucially, admit cards issued for the earlier May 3 NEET UG exam will not be accepted for the re-examination.
Several candidates have also been allotted new examination centres in their preferred cities, making it essential to carry the admit card issued specifically for the June 21 exam. Candidates are advised to download it only from the official website (neet.nta.nic.in) by typing the address directly into their browser, rather than relying on forwarded links.
Other Official Channels
Official SMS messages will come through the sender ID NICPEP, while emails will originate from no-reply.neet.nta@nic.in.
Reporting Fraud
Candidates who encounter suspicious messages can report them at innovateindia.mygov.in/neet-ug-2026 and anyone who has already lost money to a scam is urged to call the national cybercrime helpline 1930 or report it at cybercrime.gov.in.
